NYU files plans for $6M multi-floor rehab of dorm in Flatiron

New York University, on April 28, filed plans for a $6M rehab of several floors of a dormitory building at 20 East 16th Street in Flatiron, Manhattan.

Last month the university filed plans for a $15 million fit-out for the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at 540 First Avenue in Kips Bay.

The plans call for work on floors two through six of the 124-foot-tall, 12-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00707328.

The project is described in the filing as: interior modifications to dorm rooms and hallways as per shown on plans filed herewith. Filed in conjunction with plumbing/sprinkler application M00707357-I1. No change in egress, occupancy, or use.

The architect listed is Matiz Architecture And Design.
