NYC fully permitted for $3.7M rehab of industrial building in West Village

NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, on August 27, was given a permit for a $3.7 million rehabilitation of an industrial building, known as the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center, at 1 Clarkson Street in West Village.

The plans, pre-filed on April 5, 2018, call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, facade, mezzanine, and all three floors of the 50-foot tall, three-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: exterior restoration, repairs and renovation as shown on drawings filed herewith. No change in use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,730,000.

The Tony Dapolito Recreation Center is a recreation center that has basketball courts, turf fields, gymnasiums, and other amenities.
