NYC files again for $50M surge capacity rehab of North Central Bronx hospital in Riverdale

NYC Health + Hospitals, on April 21, filed a permit application for a $50.2 million renovation on five floors of a hazardous building at 3424 Kossuth Avenue in Riverdale.

The hospital filed nearly identical plans on April 16, which were withdrawn on April 21.

The plans call for a renovation on parts of the 6th and 10th floors, and all of floors 15-17 of the 403-foot tall, 18-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation on part of 6th and; 10th floor and full floors 15-17 as indicated on attached plans. Surge capacity emergency renovation project. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $50,244,614.
