Nexus Building Development Group borrows $29M from Bank Leumi for LES new development

Yaniv Cohen’s Nexus Building Development Group through the entity 167-171 Chrystie LP as borrower signed a loan agreement with lender Bank Leumi USA valued at $28.5 million for 169 Chrystie Street, 167 Chrystie Street in Lower East Side. The deal closed on December 5, 2019 and was recorded on February 14, 2020.
Plans were filed in August 2018 for a 78-unit, 58,171-square-foot building.

Over the past five years, there have been 3 NYC Department of Buildings permit applications filed for this parcel valued at more than $20,000. There was one renovation/alteration project (A2) applied for with a total estimated value of $25,000. There have been 2 demolition projects filed over the past five years.
