Nasser family sells UES co-op for $35M, was asking $52M
The East 80 Trust paid the Nasser family through the entity 990 Fifth Avenue Trust $35 million for two co-op (D4) units on the 12th and 13th floors at 990 Fifth Avenue in the Upper East Side, Manhattan.
The deal closed on September 23, 2021 and was recorded on October 5, 2021.
The signatory for the Nasser family was Raphael Nasser. The signatory for The East 80 Trust was the attorney Jill Allegretti.
This is penthouse 12 and 13. The Nasser family made money in textile manufacturing, the Wall Street Journal reported. The property was offered for $52 million, according to an article from April 2019.
Within a 400-foot radius of 990 5th Avenue, PincusCo identified five commercial real estate items of interests occurred over the past 24 months.
Of those five items, four were sales above $5 million totaling $64.5 million. The most recent of the four was Robert A. Pruzan and Tracy W. Pruzan which bought a co-op (D4) unit at 998 5th Avenue for $22 million from Florence Irving 2017 Revoccable Trust and Robert Kasdin on September 21, 2021.
One of those five items was a loan which David Frederick Frankel borrowed $5 million from Principal Life Insurance Company secured by the 104,209-square-foot, 72-unit rental (D6) on 1058 Madison Avenue on May 4, 2020.
