Moses Wertheimer files plans for 71K sf office, first office in Bed-Stuy in 12 months

Moses Wertheimer, on June 22, filed a permit application for construction of a 71,574-square-foot mixed-use commercial office building at 25 Spencer Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

There have been 48 new building plans, including these, filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months. These are the first office plans in the previous 12 months in Bed-Stuy.

The plans call for the construction of a 180-foot-tall, 15-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00755162.

The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 150 feet.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed 15-story and cellar commercial building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail space and a parking garage. The second floor will have office space and additional parking space. Floors three through 15 will all be used for office space. Floors three through five and 10 through 15 will each have terraces.

The architect listed is Hamish Whitefield Architects P.C.

The property was acquired with six other properties for $5 million on March 12, 2015.
