Met Museum curator Andrew Bolton and designer Thom Browne pay $13M for Sutton Place townhouse

Met Museum curator Andrew Bolton and designer Thom Browne paid the estate of the late philanthropist Drue Heinz $13 million for 1 Sutton Place in Sutton Place. The 7,000-square-foot home was built in 1920 for Anne Vanderbilt, and other owners included Charles Merrill, a founder of Merrill Lynch.

In 2018 it was listed for $21 million by Mary Kent of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The sale closed on October 8, 2019, and was recorded on October 17, 2019. The transaction consists of 1 parcel, including the tax class single-family, mansion type (A7).
