Marilyn Simons, wife of billionaire, pays $103M to Pebb Capital, TriArch Real Estate, for dorm property in West Village
Marilyn Simons, who is married to billionaire hedge fund manager James Simons, acquired two adjacent buildings in the West Village, through separate transactions totaling $102.9 million. Simons founded the Simons Foundation
In the first, Simons, through the entity Alabama Flats LLC, paid Pebb Capital and TriArch Real Estate Group’s Alabama Apartments Investors, LLC $79.4 million for 13-15 East 11th Street in the West Village. The deal closed on January 31, 2020, and was recorded on February 6, 2020. The transaction consists of condominium units.
The sale price per unit is $1,017,769.
In the second transaction, Simons through her Alabama Flats LLC, paid Pebb Capital and TriArch $23.5 million for an interest in 13 East 11th Street in the West Village. The deal closed on January 31, 2020 and was recorded on February 6, 2020.
The last time the properties sold was October 28, 2016, when Pebb Capital and TriArch bought the two buildings for $58 million from Yeshiva University.
