MAG Partners files plans for 128-unit mixed-use building in Chelsea

MAG Partners, on October 27, filed a permit application for construction of a 128-unit, 134,085-square-foot building at 335 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. Susi Yu, principal and head of development at MAG Partners, filed the plans.

The developer is also behind the 235-foot tall, 22-story, 351,240-square-foot mixed-use development with 480 units at 241 West 28th Street in Chelsea. MAG recently filed plans for a $25.8 million project related to structural work at the under-construction building.

These are the seventh new building plans filed in the neighborhood so far this year. Of the seven plans, these call for the construction of the second most dwelling units.

MAG Partners is a woman-owned, urban real estate company whose principals have designed, built, and operated over seven million square feet of office, residential and mixed-use projects, including over 2,000 units of housing, according to the firm’s website.

The plans call for the construction of a 55-foot-tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00600672. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed 5-story mixed use building, as shown on plans.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, retail space, offices, community space, a terrace, and the lower levels of six duplex units, the upper halves will be located on the first floor mezzanine. The second floor will have a lounge, terrace, and 26 dwelling units. Floors three through five will each have 32 dwelling units per floor. The roof will have a terrace. The cellar will have retail space, a fitness room, pet grooming room, and storage. The building will also have a garden located outside.
