The entity 148 East 40th Street Owner, L.P. paid the Lanza family’s 148 East 40th Street LLC $5.8 million for the landmarked former stable 148 East 40th Street in Murray Hill. The deal closed on December 12, 2019, and was recorded on December 18, 2019. The two-story property is 3,092 square feet, and was built in 1871 as a horse stable.

Over the past five years, there have been 4 NYC Department of Buildings permit applications filed for this parcel valued at more than $20,000. Of those there was one major renovation application including a certificate of occupancy change (A1) filed with a total estimated value of $431,550.
