Joel Wertzberger of Joyland Group on April 30, filed a permit application for construction of a 242-unit, 137,302-square-foot hotel and office building at 107 South 6th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, just south of the Williamsburg Bridge.

The plans call for the construction of a 255-foot tall, 26-story, hotel and office building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed new hotel and commercial office building.

The plans show that the ground floor will be used for lobbies, a loading dock, and offices, while floors two through five will be used for commercial offices. Floors six through 26 will have hotel rooms, except for the 14th floor which will be used for mechanical equipment.

The property has been owned by Joseph Lentini since 2006. It is not clear exactly what Wertzberger’s relationship is to Lentini or the property, it could have been sold but not recorded, leased, or some other option.
