Investment manager Jeffrey Aronson sells 101 Central Park West co-op for $15.2M

An anonymous buyer through the entity 101-H Trust paid Jeffrey and Shari Aronson $15.2 million for unit 9E at 101 Central Park West in Lincoln Square. The deal closed on June 23, 2020, and was recorded on June 26, 2020. The transaction consists of 1 parcel, including the tax class cooperative (D4) and containing 104 residential units.

The names of the buyers were illegible and held in trusts. The Aronsons bought the unit in 2012 for $13.075 million. Jeffrey Aronson is cofounder and managing principal of the private investment firm Centerbridge Partners.

This is the second large sale recorded this year. In February 2020, Cerberus Capital Management managing director Jonathan Gallen and Amy Gallen bought a unit in the building for $12.7 million.
