The Harper family filed a chapter 11 petition in the Southern District of New York yesterday, seeking bankruptcy protection for two properties at 15-17 South William Street in the Financial District; the multifamily building at 3 West 75th Street on the Upper West Side and a Coconut Grove residential condo unit.

The petition was filed under the name 271 West 11th Street LLC and signed by Alicia Harper. It states the three assets it owns are valued at a combined $24 million. However, those assets do not include the townhouse 271 West 11th Street, despite the name of the owner entity.

The three assets are 53-55 Stone Street also known as 15-17 South William Street valued at $15.1 million, 3 West 75th Street, valued at $6.5 million, and a condo in Coconut Grove, Florida, valued at $2.4 million.

Alicia Harper and others bought the FiDi properties in 2023 for $15.1 million, and bought the the 10-unit building on 75th Street in 2023 for $6.6 million.

The filing says there is a debt of $3.5 million to Hirshmark Capital at 3 West 75th Street and one for $10.5 million to Maguire Capital Group at 53-55 Stone Street.
