George Pipergias files plans for 23 units in Astoria

George Pipergias submitted a new building construction project for a 23-unit, 39,135-square-foot residential (R-2) building at 26-37 30th Street in Astoria, Queens. The plan was filed on June 5, 2026. It calls for the construction of a 65-foot-tall, five-story building and was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q01385871. The project is described in the filing as: new residential multi-family bldg. The applicant is the Registered Architect Alexander Zhitnik of Z Architecture PLLC.

The building comprises a cellar housing an ambulatory health facility, mechanical systems, residential amenities including a gym and pet spa, plus private storage units. The ground floor contains a residential lobby with bicycle and vehicle parking alongside additional health facility space. Floors two through five have between four and seven units each for a total of 23 units, with common recreation spaces and roof terraces. The rooftop features passive recreation areas and a green roof installation.
