Douglaston Development permitted for 188-unit affordable mixed-use building in Tremont
Douglaston Development, on June 7, was given a permit for construction of a 188-unit, 108,957-square-foot mixed-use building at 2850 Webster Avenue in Tremont, the Bronx. Russell Lang filed the plans.
Both new building and plumbing permits were issued. The developer received foundation permits in April.
The plans, pre-filed on June 20, 2019, call for the construction of a 122-foot tall, 12-story mixed-use building.
The project is described in the filings as: filing a 12-story new building for affordable residences for seniors.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and retail space. The second floor will have recreation space, an exercise room, offices, outdoor terraces, and seven dwelling units. Floors three through nine will each have 19 dwelling units per floor, while floors 10 through 12 will each have 16 dwelling units per floor. A passive terrace will be located on the roof.
Stephen B. Jacobs Group is listed as the architect.
Demolition of the single-story commercial building which previously occupied the site was completed in March.
