Northwind sues partner for $50M at LES hotel: Northwind Group is seeking the appointment of a receiver for the Ace hotel at 225 Bowery on the Lower East Side, which it co-owns with David Paz and his Omnia Group. Northwind and Omnia obtained $80 million in financing for the property in 2019 from Bank Hapoalim. In addition, according to the complaint, Northwind is seeking, “On the First Cause of Action, an adjudication that (i) Paz has committed acts or omissions that are material and constitute fraud, malfeasance, financial dishonesty or breach of fiduciary duty…” Paz has not yet filed response papers. Church in contract to sell Boerum Hill walkup for $2.3M: Asher Babazadeh through the entity Atlantic Bapaz LLC is in contract to buy the three-story, 2,940-square-foot walkup at 393 Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill from owner Brooklyn Christian Temple. The building has three residential units and one commercial unit on a 1680 square foot lot with 21 feet of frontage, and is about 58 feet from Bond Street. The broker was DSW Realty. The contract was signed December 3, 2021. LINK
