Ekstein signs $7.756M contract for Bed-Stuy site with 38 units planned: Erik Ekstein’s Ekstein Development Group signed a contract valued at $7.756 million with Holy Trinity Baptist Church of Bedford Stuyvesant for 14 Ralph Avenue. Ekstein filed plans for a 38-unit residential building at the site in March 2022.
According to the purchase and sale agreement filed with the petition seeking the Attorney General’s approval to sell, the “Developer shall be responsible to complete, in accordance with the Construction Documents, and at its cost and expense: 1) the Core and Shell Work, and (2) building out or fitting out the Church Unit (approximately [14,489] square feet) and all common elements of the Parsonage Condominium (approximately [1,000] square feet), and the Church Retail unit (approximately [2,700] square feet) beyond the Core and Shell Work. For the avoidance of doubt, costs and expenses are inclusive of all labor, materials, taxes, licenses, shipping, handling, freight and demurrage. Developer shall deliver to Church approximately [14,489] gross square feet of community facility space, located on a portion of the cellar level (approximately [7,750] square feet), first floor (approximately [5,186] square feet) and mezzanine level (approximately [1,553] square feet), with an entrance on Ralph Avenue.” LINK
