Buyer pays $10.8M to Astoria church for site

The entity Astoria Crescent Owner LLC paid Astoria’s Church of the Redeemer, $10.8 million for 30-14 Crescent Street in Astoria. The deal closed on December 17, 2020 and was recorded on January 13, 2021. The transaction consists of 1 parcel, including the tax class single-family, miscellaneous (old buildings, attached & semi-detached frame houses, etc.) (A9). The signatory for the buyer was Emanuel Westfried.

The contract date was March 8, 2017. The church filed plans in 2018 for a seven-story commercial building but the plans have not been permitted.

There has been one demolition project filed for the parcels over the past five years.
