Brownsville Partnership files plans for 82-unit affordable rental, part of Livonia 4 development

Brownsville Partnership by its operations manager Donna Smith submitted a new building construction project for an 82-unit, 55,106 square-foot residential (R-2) building at 377 Christopher Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The plan was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings on April 10, 2023 under job number 321601520. It calls for the construction of an 11-story building. The project is described in the filing as: proposed eleven (11) story residential building with community facility.
The most recent property records show the site is owned by the City of New York through a 1977 foreclosure deed.

The building is planned for Site C2 of the Livonia 4 project. This building, according to the website, will have units, “set aside for vulnerable young adults and young adult families been the ages of 18-25 incomes at 30% AMI [area median income].”

Yimby reported on the Livonia 4 project in 2018, noting it was expected to add 420 units in total.
