Brookfield signs $29.1M acquisition loan with Apollo for senior living in Sheepshead Bay

Brookfield Asset Management through the entity Sjv 1 Sheepshead Bay LLC as borrower signed an acquisition loan with lender Apollo Global Management through the entity Athene Annuity And Life Company valued at $29.1 million for the 104-unit senior living building at 2211 Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.
The deal closed on June 18, 2021 and was recorded on July 26, 2021. Brookfield bought the property for $36 million at the same time..
The property, divided into three condominium units, has 98,250 square feet of built space according to PincusCo analysis of city data. The loan price per built square foot is $296 per the PincusCo analysis.
The signatory for Brookfield Asset Management was David Cohen.

This property loan is part of a $334.9 million loan Apollo has provided to Brookfield, according to the loan documents.
