Brookfield gets TCO for new four-level retail podium at the Eugene in Manhattan West
Brookfield Properties, on April 22, was issued an initial temporary certificate of occupancy for a four-level retail podium that has an estimated cost of $7.9 million adjacent to the residential building the Eugene at 435 West 31st Street in Manhattan West.
The plans, pre-filed March 22, 2017, call for adding 33,335 square feet of zoning space to the Manhattan West complex, through a four-level podium adjacent to the existing 844-unit rental building.
The project is described in the filings as: application filed for construction of retail podium at SW tower lot. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $7,941,300.
According to the plans, the project created parking space on the ground floor, retail space on floors two, three, and five.
The property was acquired for $26.4 million on October 27, 2015.
