BEB Capital pays $4.8M to expand to 5 Atlantic Ave. assemblage in Bed-Stuy

Bert Brodsky’s BEB Capital through the entity 1063 Atlantic, LLC paid David Weinberger’s Atlantic Equity Holdings LLC $4.8 million for 1061 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The deal closed on September 15, 2020, and was recorded on October 2, 2020. The transaction consists of 1 parcel, including the tax class miscellaneous warehouse (E9). The property is 12,000 square feet. The parcel(s) have total development potential of 12,000 square feet.
The average sale price per square foot is $398.

This is the fifth property Bert Brodsky’s BEB Capital has acquired along Atlantic Avenue, totaling 373 feet of frontage. The first transaction was for 1041-1051 Atlantic Avenue for $13.5 million on November 7, 2019.  The second transaction for three properties totaling $6.6. million, was December 19, 2019.

The contract date was September 15, 2020, the same as the closing date. BEB is controlled by Bert E. Brodsky. The last time the property sold was February 26, 2016, for $2,550,000, when Weinberger, a lender, acquired title through a foreclosure.
