ARGO, Bsafal file plans to demolish West Village building

ARGO Real Estate and Bsafal, on February 19, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 64 University Place in the West Village. Allen Rezhets, senior project and construction manager of ARGO, filed the plans.

The property was acquired for $30 million on June 27, 2019. According to reports, Bsafal, a subsidiary of Safal Constructions India Private Limited, partnered with ARGO on the project.

The plans call for the demolition of a four-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of four-story building, using non-mechanical means.

No new building plans have been acquired yet.

The developer paid David Issroff’s King Rock Capital $1.5 million for 3,000-square-feet of air rights from 70 University Place in November of 2019.
