ABCNY seek rezoning in preparation of 305-key East Harlem hotel

ABCNY are seeking to rezone a development site in anticipation of submitting an application for the construction of a 25-story, 120,040-square-foot mixed-use hotel building with 305 rooms at 58-62 East 125th Street in East Harlem.

ABCNY is a property management and investment firm in NYC. According to their website, the firm manages around 170 residential units, several hotels and some construction projects. Moris Yeroshalmy was the signatory on the application.

The plans seek a zoning map amendment to rezone 58-62 East 125th Street, Block 1749, Lots 46, 48, and 49 from a C4-4D zoning district to a C4-7 zoning district, a zoning text amendment to amend the Special 125th Street District to allow a maximum height of 245’-0,” and, a zoning text amendment to ZR Appendix F to establish the proposed development Site as a mandatory inclusionary housing designated area.

The developer seeks the changes in anticipation of constructing the mixed-use hotel which will consist of approximately 5,200-square-feet of visual performing arts space within the cellar and first floor, approximately 12,359-square-feet of retail space within the sub-cellar, cellar, first and second floors, and approximately 115,008-square-feet of hotel space.
