1,394 units, 1.3M sf in three resi buildings planned on Astoria parcel

An affiliate of Boris Aronov, who bought an Astoria waterfront parcel in 2013 for $26.5 million, filed plans for three residential buildings with a total of 1,394 units and 1.3 million square feet, according to the New York City Department of Building applications disclosed this week. JRJ Metro Realty shares an address with Aronov’s Astoria Owners LLC, which owns the parcel. The architect is Studio V Architecture, PLLC.

In the first filing, Peter Rinato of Midtown-based JRJ Metro Realty submitted a new building construction project for a 496-unit, 580,861 square-foot residential (R-2) building at 3-11 26th Avenue in Astoria, Queens. The plan was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings on November 1, 2022 under job number Q00713747. It calls for the construction of a 35-story building. The project is described in the filing as: Residential New Building.

In the second, Peter Rinato of JRJ Metro Realty submitted a new building construction project for a 615-unit, 473,417 square-foot residential (R-2) building at 3-09 26 Avenue in Astoria, Queens. The plan was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings on November 1, 2022 under job number Q00703443. It calls for the construction of a 32-story building. The project is described in the filing as: Residential New Building.

In the third, Peter Rinato of JRJ Metro Realty submitted a new building construction project for a 283-unit, 275,427 square-foot residential (R-2) building at 3-01 26 Avenue in Astoria, Queens. The plan was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings on November 1, 2022 under job number Q00702943. It calls for the construction of a 24-story building. The project is described in the filing as: Residential New Building.
