NYC School Construction Authority, on January 21, filed a permit application for an $11.5 million renovation of a building at 34-65 192nd Street in Murray Hill, Queens.
The plans call for a renovation of the 40-foot tall, 3-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: boiler conversion upgrade – remove existing 3 oil fired boilers and associated piping, controls, valves, breeching, and abandon 2 oil storage tanks and associated piping and controls and replace with 3 new gas fired boilers and burners with all associated piping, control panels, breeching and 1 ss, chimney liner, boiler feed and pump as per plans. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $11,500,000.
