London-based The Collective pays $41M for development site in Williamsburg

London-based The Collective through the entity 292 N8 Owner LLC paid an entity affiliated with DBI Projects’s Hoc Williamsburg LLC $41.4 million for 286 North 8th Street, 292 North 8th Street, 289 North 7th Street in Williamsburg. The deal closed on December 13, 2019, and was recorded on December 19, 2019. The transaction consists of 3 parcels, including the tax class land not zoned residential or Manhattan below 110th Street (V1).

The planned co-living space will contain 224 apartments. The last time the property sold was April 7, 2016, for $20,660,000.

Over the past five years, there has been one NYC Department of Buildings permit application filed for this parcel valued at more than $20,000. There has been one demolition project filed for the parcels over the past five years.
