Hedge funder Michael Price sells UES townhouse for $18.8M, half of 2016 ask

The entity Masileste LLC paid Michael and Jennifer Price $18.8 million for the townhouse 20 East 78th Street in the Upper East Side. The deal closed on July 29, 2020, and was recorded on August 4, 2020. The transaction consists of 1 parcel, including the tax class single-family, city residence (A4). The property is 10,598 square feet.
The average sale price per square foot is $1,774.

Michael Price owns the hedge fund MFP Investors. The sale closed at less than half the 2016 asking price of $38 million. The Prices paid $14 million for the townhouse in 2003.
